What is Podology?
Podiatry is the field that deals with the health and rehabilitation of pathological conditionsaffecting the limb. It is a stand-alone health care profession,
which assists many medical specialties, completely distinct from that of podiatry where
it refers to a medical specialty. The podiatrist works preventively and therapeutically,
using specialised methods relating to lower limb conditions, in collaboration
with the medical specialty involved in the condition for which the patient presented.
Particularly important can be considered his contribution to the treatment of the diabetic foot,
in collaboration with the treating diabetologist.

The Podiatrist - Specialist Orthotist Malandri Aikaterini is a graduate of Podiatry from a private school in Thessaloniki. She is qualified by the company MECOTRADE GERMANY where she has been awarded the certificate of VHO OSTHOLD SPANGE PERFECT and the title of "Specialist Orthotist".
She is a certified Podiatrist by the state body EOPPEP (National Organization for the Certification of Qualifications & Professional Orientation) for the specialty of Podology.
In the early years of her career as a podiatrist, she volunteered to treat lower limb problems in senior citizens and people with serious health problems in nursing homes and KAPHs in the city.
Holder of the European Diploma of Basic First Aid and Basic Life Support with the use of the Red Cross AED (Automatic External Defibrillator).
Founding member of the Association of Preventive and Therapeutic Care of the Limbs.
Member of the Association of Podiatrists of Greece.
Member of the Society for the Study of Diabetic Foot Diseases E.M.E.D.I.P.
